Chapter 226 – Draconic Language – 4
“What other options are there…?”
“As I mentioned before, the simplest way to handle the Draconic Language is to try using it yourself. That’s why I said to press your lips together and just repeat what I say, but you refused…”
Parnari trailed off and glanced at Minerva. A dragon being cautious of a human was quite a rare sight.
“You said the Draconic Language reacted on its own to the word you mentioned, right?”
“That’s right.”
“Do you remember what that word was? It doesn’t matter if you forget; I can track the traces, but it would be easier if you just tell me now.”
What was the word that made the Draconic Language react? The corpse of the dragon—
“It was ‘dispose.’”
After hearing my words, Parnari approached with an expressionless face, circling around me as she observed. It took her several rounds of circling to return to her spot.
“That’s interesting.”
“What do you mean?”
“How is it that the first word you learned is destruction? Typically, one would start with simple concepts of creation and then gradually move on to the concept of destruction.”
I thought breaking something might actually be easier than creating it, but since I didn’t understand the concepts of the Draconic Language, I decided to let it slide. Parnari probably knew much more about that than I did.
“Do you really find that interesting?”
“If we were to compare it to humans… um… yeah. It’s like a toddler learning to run before they learn to walk. You can think of it that way.”
It was a very clear explanation. If such a thing had happened to me, I would have been incredibly surprised.
“Anyway, what I’m going to teach you is that—making your body completely understand the Draconic Language.”
“The body understands? How?”
“You just have to experience it firsthand.”
Parnari’s eyes began to shine slightly. Her lips moved, and a shockwave erupted.
ㅡBreak.
With that simple command, my surroundings literally exploded. The ground cracked like a drought-stricken field. The walls did the same. Stones from the ceiling poured down like rain.
With just one word, Minerva’s experimental workshop had been turned into a wasteland.
The broken walls, floor, and ceiling were restored as soon as Minerva waved her staff, but it seemed she was genuinely surprised that she could easily destroy the space she created herself.
“This is the Draconic Language.”
Parnari had a look on her face that suggested this was nothing special. To her, it was just a simple word she threw out there.
“…It does seem quite useful, Parnari.”
Curiosity filled her silver-white pupils. Perhaps sensing the emotion in her eyes, Parnari shook her head.
“You can’t use it. You haven’t absorbed a dragon’s soul, so no matter how long you practice, you won’t be able to use it. Even if you did absorb a dragon’s soul, your body wouldn’t be able to handle it, and it would collapse.”
“So, that means that kid can withstand it?”
“That’s right. She has absorbed both Kekus’ soul and Heltura’s soul. I’ve never heard of a human being able to accept the souls of two dragons and still be fine. She’s special.”
“I knew that. She was extraordinary from the moment I first met her. It’s just…”
Minerva’s eyes were gleaming with emotions bordering on greed.
“She’s much more extraordinary than I expected.”
My body trembled. I averted my gaze.
“Do you know why you were unharmed just now?”
Parnari asked at the perfect timing. I quickly answered.
“Is it because you used the Draconic Language to direct it away from me?”
“That’s similar but not quite right.”
Her head shook side to side.
“It’s not just that I didn’t target you directly, but the dragon’s soul within you also reacted to the Draconic Language. If you didn’t have a soul, even if I hadn’t targeted you directly, you would have still been destroyed.”
“But I didn’t feel anything from the soul reacting.”
“That’s in the realm of instinct. Do you consciously breathe or blink? No, right? I have to consciously try to breathe like a human or blink like one. Dragons don’t have to do that. It’s the same thing. For dragons, responding to the Draconic Language is instinctual.”
It was something I felt like I somewhat understood, but at the same time didn’t. I had a confused expression, and Parnari prepared the Draconic Language once again.
“Don’t worry. Just keep trying until you understand.”
ㅡBreak.
Ka-BLAM! With that word, the shockwave that erupted shattered the floor, ceiling, and walls that had just regained their original state. Again, I was completely fine.
While Minerva calmly restored the broken spots, Parnari came closer as if she had just thought of something.
“Hmm… I think it’s time. You should be able to use the Draconic Language now. Go ahead, aim for that wall.”
“Already?”
“Time isn’t important for the Draconic Language. You can think of it as the soul within you having blended well.”
She pointed her finger at the opposite wall.
“Just let it out naturally, like breathing. Imagine packing your thoughts into your words. Command that wall to break. You don’t need to worry; your soul will move according to your will. You’ll learn to use it with your own volition later. For now, just pretend.”
Listening to Parnari’s chatter, I took a breath. I tried my best to follow her words. Packing my thoughts into the command and giving the wall an order.
“What word should I use?”
“That depends on you. It’s your power, so choose freely as you wish. You could pick ‘dispose’ again, or follow me and say ‘break.’ The Draconic Language is a concept, not a restriction.”
“So there’s no rule that once I decide, I can’t change it or anything…?”
“Nope. So don’t worry.”
I settled into a posture. I had already decided on what to choose. If I activated the Draconic Language with a common word, I would have to be very careful with my words until I could completely control my power. I wanted to avoid that.
Taking the feeling of commanding the wall, I cautiously opened my mouth.
ㅡBreak.
At that moment, I felt something rising deep within me, like something boiling over. It didn’t stop there. I felt my entire body heating up as if it was glowing hot.
The heat filling my body surged up my throat and burst out of my mouth.
The sound of BEEEEP echoed in my ears.
With a tremendous explosion, the floor was reduced to dust. Similarly, the ceiling, shattered to dust, scattered like a hazy mist.
Destruction didn’t stop with the floor and ceiling. The shockwave, returning everything it touched to ash, crashed into the walls of the workshop, shattering them into pieces as it burst outward.
Once again, a loud explosion rang out.
The sorcerers who were sitting outside and had been caught off guard by a sudden dust storm murmured in panic.
“……”
Having experienced a situation like this before, Minerva and I remained calm even with a part of the workshop completely blasted away, but Parnari couldn’t act the same way.
Gasping and stumbling over her words, it took many attempts before she could finally form a coherent sentence.
“You… were a dragon? Were you transformed into a human like me?”
Her first words sounded like nonsense, indicating she must have been thoroughly shocked.
Outside, there was some movement. Kaiquilia slowly opened her eyes. Her golden eyes glinted like molten gold between her eyelids.
The pleasure that had enveloped her entire being had just begun to subside. She sat up. The blanket that had covered her body fell away, revealing her bare skin without even a thread covering her.
Without even thinking to cover her exposed body, Kaiquilia pondered over the recent events.
It was such an intense experience that she wondered if any pleasure could surpass it. Even halfway through, she had lost her consciousness, resulting in hazy memories.
Having felt the peak, and then felt it again, to the point that her mind was completely burnt out, leaving only instincts—what had she done? Had she obeyed the humiliating commands laid upon her?
In the end, with something—
“…Ugh.”
The sensations of something filling her throat, the feeling of tightening her throat to please that something, the prickling sensation deep inside her throat, and the sensation of something sticky and fishy pouring into her mouth.
Seemingly recalling all those sensations, Kaiquilia unconsciously touched her neck. Whenever she tried to swallow, the memories from back then resurfaced reflexively.
While Kaiquilia struggled against being overwhelmed by pleasure, someone opened the bedroom door and walked in. Trying hard to shift her thoughts elsewhere, she shot a sharp retort at the intruder.
“What business do you have in my bedroom, Pope?”
The owners of the presence were Floretta and Luna.
They had come to Kaiquilia’s bedroom after not leaving their spot in front of the Central Hall, insisting that they wouldn’t go until the distinguished guest was received into the Holy Kingdom.
Well, only four beings recognizable enough to step boldly into Kaiquilia’s bedroom existed in the entire world: the Eternal Magician, the Pope of the Sun, the Pope of the Moon, and last but not least…
“Did you enjoy last night’s pleasure?”
“Shut your mouth. It’s none of your business.”
In response to Luna’s voice, Kaiquilia shot back fiercely.
There was no doubt about the reason the Popes had come this far. They were here to request that man be taken into the Holy Kingdom. There was absolutely no way she would grant that request.
“If you’ve come to make that strange proposal again, my answer is the same as before, so it would be best for you to turn back now.”
“No, Your Majesty the Empress.”
Floretta smiled slightly.
“This time, we have a different proposal to make.”
