Chapter 407
Epilogue: Planetary Gacha Plan – 2
“To think you would cause such a scene in front of your father, how cruel it is, Luce.”
“You brought this upon yourself, Viola. Who told you to act so recklessly? You must accept the consequences of your own actions.”
Before I could say anything, Viola, swept away by the wave of daughters who tore through dimensions, was kneeling with her back against the wall, hands raised, unable to even fix her disheveled hair.
Considering the personalities of my eldest daughters, this was a rather mild punishment compared to what they had done. Eileen and Lorelia argued that instead of kneeling with hands raised, they should be hung upside down.
Especially Luce took the lead in acting. She completely relinquished her position after the last rock-paper-scissors match, but perhaps it was betrayal that made her act this way.
While my daughters surrounded Viola discussing her punishment, my wives exchanged glances with me, urging me to execute “that plan.”
“Really?”
“Yes. We all agreed. Though in truth, there wasn’t much to agree on. The only question left is who to do it first…”
Rize sneakily surveyed the group of daughters. We hadn’t been speaking quietly, and it seemed they already knew about the plan, as they all averted their gazes.
They didn’t seem to mind, but they weren’t exactly showing open support either. Eileen, whom I met in my visions, had laughed and mentioned such a plan before.
Since it was a future unrelated to my current timeline, I felt hesitant to ask Eclipse what had changed.
I locked eyes with Angela, who was closest to me. Though she seemed uncomfortable, she couldn’t completely shy away from my gaze.
“Could you tell me why you might dislike it?”
“…Well, it’s not that I dislike it. It’s just… how should I put it? There’s an authentic version right before me, and making a replica to date seems a bit…”
“A replica? Were you planning to create someone just like me?”
“Isn’t that natural? Is there even a man on the ground who can even match your toes?”
“……”
Recently, I’d begun to think this might be Eclipse’s fault. If I had invested only half the effort I put into creating women into creating men, we wouldn’t be in such a situation.
Given how clear the attitude difference is still, it seemed it would forever be an unreasonable task. I stared blankly at Eclipse. Perhaps sensing the meaning in my gaze, Eclipse awkwardly turned her head.
“Really, isn’t anyone going to even consider it, princesses?”
The daughters displayed expressions that seemed to exude a sound effect of apprehension as they avoided my gaze. This was becoming slightly troublesome. After thinking for a moment, I decided to take the path of self-sacrifice.
“Alright then. If no one wants to do it, it can’t be helped. I’ll go with the first three to step up—”
“Me! I want to do it!”
“Me, father. I want to try……”
“Ahem. I will participate as well.”
“Oh, if that’s the case, I want to join too!”
“Do you not have any sense of decorum, Segretus? Know your place!”
“Are you even capable of talking about decorum, Eileen? Do you even have a conscience?”
“Father, may I also participate?”
“Please grant me the gracious honor as well.”
“I want to join! Dad! Huh?”
“I, I also want to, but……”
“Harna didn’t you just say you’d skip because it was too tedious? Why are you raising your hand?”
“Hehe. There’s no way I’d find it tedious to do it with Dad.”
“Oh, I was about to raise my hand too! Dad, that’s so unfair! Who does that at this timing?”
“……Girls, shouldn’t we at least hear what we’re doing together?”
Upon hearing that we could decorate the planet together, the requests flooded in, and before long, a battle royale disguised as sparring began once again, leaving three final victors.
Regina, Angela, and Harna.
Eileen and Segretus had obliterated each other from the start, Luce fell first under concentrated fire, and Viola didn’t even qualify to participate due to crossing the line.
Frigia had nearly made it to the final three but fell victim to Harna when she confidently blew me a kiss thinking she had victory in the bag. Frigia was pulled out with a blank expression.
As a result, the remaining individuals totaled three, or rather, five. Regina brought Selene, claiming they had similar tastes, while Angela brought Rene for the same reason.
Seeing the four of them quickly join together, the other losers eyed Harna, but she stubbornly yet resolutely followed Eclipse after a relentless stand.
The remaining three winners matched in taste and were chosen to receive teachings from Eclipse on how to create a planet, and I consoled the daughters shocked by losing.
On top of that, I promised what the next steps would be.
‘It should be fine, right?’
In truth, the worst-case scenario was raising men on a planetary scale but not finding a suitable partner, and honestly, if that happened, I was uncertain what to do.
If I really ended up marrying one of my daughters, there could be a horrifying cycle where my granddaughter couldn’t find a man either and claimed she would marry me.
I certainly didn’t want to hear the dreadful question about why it’s wrong to marry my daughter and granddaughter.
“All done! Dad!”
How much time had passed? In the distance, Regina came running, dodo-do behind her, Selene was hurriedly following, her wrist grasped with urgency. Next came Angela, Rene, and then Harna.
“All done?”
“Yes! The foundation is all set! Now we just need Dad to help fill in with people!”
“Alright, let’s go.”
I picked up Stella and Selene. Regina and Selene giggled and opened a space together. We stepped into it, and a vast city unfolded before our eyes.
The overall appearance of the city seemed ordinary. It felt like a mix between a Holy Kingdom and an Empire.
One significant difference was that the entire city was densely packed with what appeared to be sparring facilities. I suspected that about a third of the buildings were dedicated to sparring.
“Those are all sparring grounds, right, Regina?”
“Yes! Dad!”
“Why did you make so many?”
“To make sure they all fight!”
“……Huh?”
At Regina’s bright statement, I froze.
“To become our boyfriends, they must be incredibly strong, right? So we gather them all in one place and make them fight! By filtering them out, we leave only the strongest!”
“……”
It sounded like a flawed method of judgment from the start.
“Ah, Father. It’s not like that. It’s just like how we fought in the space, a sort of sparring, I think……”
Sensing my mood, Selene hastily made excuses, but she couldn’t convince me. The fighting Regina envisioned and the fighting Selene had in mind were fundamentally different.
I gently interrupted Regina’s excited explanation.
“How about considering a different method?”
“Wh-What?!”
“……Yes.”
Selene nodded gloomily as if she expected this, while Regina looked genuinely surprised.
“…I’m sorry, Dad.”
“It’s alright. We have plenty of time. So don’t be too gloomy, my princess.”
I set them down and patted their heads in turn. As I withdrew my hand, Harna naturally opened her arms and approached me.
“Now it’s my turn, Dad.”
I embraced her. Regina was charging at me with Selene together, so I picked her up to halt her momentum, but it seemed Harna interpreted that a bit differently.
Harna looked at me with a shadowy smile reminiscent of her mother.
“Hehe. You’re going to be really surprised, so you can look forward to it.”
“Really?”
“Of course. Who’s my father?”
As Harna laughed like that, she opened a space. A rift formed of pitch-black mana, revealing a surprisingly well-mannered city beyond.
‘Doesn’t seem like there’s anything to be surprised about?’
For someone who claimed I would be shocked, it appeared rather ordinary. Wondering about what I could possibly be surprised by, I glanced around, only to catch an unexpected color.
Hot pink twin tails, hot pink eyes, hot pink underboob, and hot pink tights that made my eyes ache just to look at.
“Hello, Mr. Delta! Nice to see you again here!”
It was Fetch.
“……What the hell? Why is she here?”
“I told you, Dad. Hehe. You can look forward to it. This is the result of my pondering how to catch Dad’s attention.”
Wasn’t this a planet aimed at finding boyfriends? The roles seemed quite reversed. I looked down at my bold daughter who openly declared she was here to grab my interest.
“Are you curious about why I’m here, Mr. Delta?”
“Of course I am.”
“I’m here to tell you that. I never imagined it would end up being exposed like this… but, well, it doesn’t matter, right? I couldn’t keep it a secret forever anyway.”
Fetch smiled slyly, unlike her usual demeanor. It was a smile I felt like I had seen somewhere before; no, I definitely had seen it. While I pondered where I had encountered that smile, Fetch closed her eyes and slowly opened them.
“Do you understand now?”
“That is……”
The formerly bright hot pink pupils had transformed into an odd hue of gold and silver, an odd-eye. As far as I knew, there was only one person in this dimension who possessed such colors.
“Eclipse…?”
“More precisely, it was Eclipse. This body is an avatar I used when I wanted to walk among humans instead of as a goddess.”
Lost in thought, trying to gather memory pieces of Fetch from the game and the world of Eclipse, I blankly froze, and Harna confidently whispered.
“So, Dad. Were you really surprised? I told you I was right, didn’t I?”
